Shibuya City Guide

Shibuya: A Curated Guide
On 19 March 2026, we open the doors to our second flagship store in Japan located in Shibuya, at the heart of Tokyo’s most vibrant district. The curated space serves as a sanctuary within the Tokyo rush, creating a space for reflection and intentional pause while experiencing the Tom Wood universe.
Shibuya is the embodiment of modern Japanese culture, a vibrant melting pot of art, elevated retail and cultural experiences. Beyond the iconic ‘scramble’ crossing lies a world of curated boutiques, intimate bars, niche galleries and eclectic restaurants. As we grow our roots in the city, we have gathered a selection of favourite neighbourhood spots, building on the friendships and connections we have made over the years.

BARS & CAFÉS
DRUNKARD’S ALLEY
Drunkard’s Alley (also known as Nonbei Yokocho) offers a glimpse of the old Tokyo nightlife. The narrow alley dates back to the early ‘50s, featuring cozy, intimate bars — some only fitting up to 4 or 5 people inside.

Established in 1963, Norwegian coffee roastery Fuglen brought its signature coffee culture to Tokyo — offering a curated destination for quality roasts and cocktails. For the Shibuya flagship store opening, we collaborate with Fuglen on a number of activities, merging our shared roots and connection to Norwegian craft.
Æ - ASH
A zero-waste café and cocktail bar in Nanpeidai, embracing a sustainable mindset with their selection of coffee and cocktails.
NEPHEW
An all-day café, bistro, and bar owned by close friends of the house and visionary entrepreneurs who have shaped several of Tokyo's most compelling spaces. Serving baked sweets, drinks, and small dishes in an eclectic setting, it remains a frequent visit for Mona Jensen, our Founder and Creative Director.
TOH LISTENING BAR
An intimate listening bar specialising in 1960s and ‘70s Japanese jazz, centered around the distinct floor-to-ceiling vinyl wall. A must-visit while in the city. The owner Combo is a visionary in the fashion and music scene and friend of the house. By appointment only.

UTSUWA MARUKAKU
Utsuwa translates to “vessel” in Japanese, a local pottery shop carrying a range of modern tableware from local artisans, traditional Japanese pottery and select vintage items. Ceramics and traditional Japanese craftsmanship are of deep interest for our Creative Director Mona Jensen, and she frequents several places during her visits.
