A celebration of a decade-long friendship

Introducing Tom Wood × Kozue Akimoto. The collaboration is a celebration of a decade-long friendship and shared creative vision. Kozue Akimoto is a Japanese fashion insider and model, known for her distinctive aesthetic and contemporary style expression. Her approach blends Japan’s heritage with her own exploration of fashion and art.

Titled Chiyu, the Japanese word for healing, the collaboration reimagines rings as a supportive armour. The idea was born during a meeting in Tokyo last year between Creative Director Mona Jensen and Kozue Akimoto, when the latter wore a cast after breaking her finger.

Chiyu contains various meanings and feelings for me. It means healing, treatment and recovery from an injury. But it can also mean regeneration and renewal, the improvement of something old

— Akimoto Kozue Akimoto

The Chiyu rings are designed to be worn layered or as a single unit, across the lower or upper part of the finger, creating a bespoke appearance unique to the wearer. Made with 100% recycled silver, the chiyu rings merge thoughtful design with sustainable practices.
