Recycled precious metals

Recycled precious metals are central to our jewellery collection and an important part of our circularity efforts.

In 2024 we transitioned to using 100% recycled gold, silver, and rhodium, replacing virgin precious metals in line with our Responsibility Roadmap.

Precious metals such as gold, silver and rhodium can be recycled without compromising their quality or purity, while reducing the need for virgin material.

The majority of our precious metals are sourced from Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) Chain of Custody certified metal suppliers. Our recycled precious metal claims are supported by supplier declarations, supply chain controls and documentation.

Responsibility

Responsibly manufactured: As certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), we commit to fair labor practices and ethical human rights. Our partners share this commitment, holding full RJC certification to ensure our entire production chain upholds these vital principles. Read more about our initiatives here.

Tom Wood jewellery is crafted exclusively from 100% recycled gold, silver, and rhodium: reducing the carbon footprint of our precious metals by more than 95% compared to virgin materials. Our commitment to responsibility further extends to the unboxing experience; with the transition from recycled plastics to custom-designed jewellery boxes made from 100% recycled aluminum. To complete the journey, we offer complimentary, carbon-compensated worldwide delivery with DHL Express.
