TAKING FLIGHT - CLEANER DELIVERIES WITH SAF

Continuing our mission for responsible practices across our supply chain, we have signed a new partnership with DHL Express to minimise air freight emissions.

Since the beginning, our approach has been defined by a relentless drive to lower our emissions, from strict sustainability requirements in sourcing to refining our core business practices. This proactive commitment has now reached a new milestone: decarbonising our air freight. We are proud to announce a new partnership with DHL Express to reduce 100% of our share of air freight emissions in the DHL transport network.

Starting January 2026, we invest in reducing emissions corresponding to 100% of our B2B and B2C jewellery distribution emissions through DHL GoGreen Plus. As part of DHL’s commitment to reduce carbon emissions, GoGreen Plus is a logistics solution that enables businesses to lower their indirect supply chain (Scope 3) emissions through the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). This powerful collaboration cements our shared commitment to sustainability and ensures our deliveries are part of our aim to reduce emissions throughout our supply chain. By integrating SAF, we are offering a tangible, low-carbon solution; marking a major milestone in our ongoing sustainability journey.

SUSTAINABLE AVIATION FUEL - THE GAME-CHANGER

No shipments remain the preferred choice for the planet. When choosing to distribute goods across borders, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is the industry-leading option for reducing aviation emissions. The investment in SAF is our contribution to accelerating the global logistics industry's transition away from fossil fuels.

THE IMPACT

SAF can reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by up to 80%* over its lifecycle compared to conventional jet fuel. In other words, a single air shipment can not be fully climate-neutral in itself. However, the ambitious companies that take part in investing in SAF can reduce up to 100% of their share of air emissions within the logistics network through a book-and-claim system.

THE SCIENCE

Unlike traditional fuel, which releases carbon locked away underground, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is a biofuel made from non-fossil, renewable resources. SAF is an alternative liquid fuel, with a drastically lower environmental impact than traditional jet fuel. It utilises certified feedstock such as used cooking oil, animal fats, and agricultural waste.

THE CYCLE

Because the feedstock absorbs carbon during its lifecycle, the carbon released when SAF is burned is largely balanced, significantly reducing carbon emissions compared to traditional jet fuel.

SUSTAINABLE AVIATION FUEL IN 4 STEPS

INDUSTRY HIGHLIGHT

THE INTERNATIONAL AIR TRANSPORT ASSOCIATION (IATA) ESTIMATES SAF COULD CONTRIBUTE AROUND 65% OF THE REDUCTION IN EMISSIONS NEEDED FOR AVIATION TO REACH NET ZERO CARBON EMISSIONS BY 2050**.

TANGIBLE IMPACT

Every package you receive helps drive valuable demand for SAF, accelerating the global logistics industry's transition away from fossil fuels.

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

Our commitment is driven by data. Transparency in our reporting shows precisely why targeting air freight is an important strategic move.

Since beginning our emissions reporting in 2021, we have proactively sought ways to lower our footprint by adopting recyclable materials and altering business practices. Our total emissions for 2024 equated to 324 tCO2e, a 6% emission reduction from the previous year. Transportation and distribution (part of Scope 3 emissions) represented 29,6% of our total emissions during 2024 - presenting our second biggest driver of emissions. With ambitious growth targets going forward, reducing distribution emissions will be crucial to make a difference across our value chain.

Our Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) follows the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, with impacts measured in carbon-dioxide equivalents (tCO2e) across Scopes 1, 2, and 3. Scope 3 covers indirect value chain emissions, including transport & distribution. All emission reduction claims refer to reported Scope 3 emissions and are achieved through verified SAF certificates using a book-and-claim system. We do not claim physical climate neutrality for individual shipments.

THE EFFECT - A TIMELINE OF PROGRESS

PROGRESS OF REDUCED AIR EMISSIONS IN OUR B2B & B2C JEWELLERY DISTRIBUTION

DHL GoGreen Plus/SAF - Banner #6 (Progress of reduction) (mobile)

In our commitment to drive sustainable change, we strategically invested in SAF to achieve a 30% reduction in emissions for our B2C jewellery distribution in 2024. Building on this progress, we increased the impact to a 50% emission reduction across both B2C and B2B in 2025. This corresponded to reducing half of all jewellery shipment emissions in our logistics chain; from supplier and wholesale shipments to online orders. Starting January 2026, we substantially increase our investment across B2C and B2B, reducing 100% of our share of air emissions across the DHL transport network.

The shift to Sustainable Aviation Fuel not only reduces our carbon footprint over time, but also supports the global transition to cleaner logistics solutions. While there’s a long journey ahead reaching net zero in carbon air freight, SAF remains the closest solution to this goal. This vital step represents a significant transformation, reflecting our belief that responsible business practices require action beyond the industry standard. Our aim is to continuously align our growth with our long-term commitment to environmental responsibility, strengthening our licence to grow.
